Youth Media Forward is an initiative of the Centre for Sport and Human Rights, working with teenage journalists and creators in four of the FIFA World Cup 2026 North America host cities: Guadalajara, Los Angeles, New York New Jersey, and Toronto.
Sport has the power to break barriers and change lives. It also comes with risks for players, fans, workers and local communities. Through Youth Media Forward young journalists are gaining and practising the skills to tell stories that can help change the world of sport, drawing on experiences in their own communities and beyond. They are learning through connections with each other and sessions with practising journalists in print, broadcast and audio.
