Scotiabank Arena is where Toronto comes alive - where strangers high-five, chants echo through the rafters, and the magic of basketball brings us together. But moments like this should also make us pause and reflect: who gets to be part of this experience, and who is left out?
Access to spaces like this isn’t equal. For some, it’s a lifelong dream to witness a Raptors game in person but they may never have the chance. How do we ensure that this joy, this pride, this sense of belonging, can reach everyone in our city?
The Raptors are more than a team — they are a symbol of unity in a diverse city. But true unity means making sure everyone feels seen, valued, and included. How can we create a basketball community that lifts everyone up?
Let’s celebrate what we have, and work together to make it better.
